We currently have a need for a Network Operations Manager supporting a Global Network Infrastructure Environment.   The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of relevant work experience in networks.  Global Financial Services, Healthcare or Pharmaceutical experience is strongly preferred.



  • Manage the Global Network Operation team providing end to end infrastructure support in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Identify trends in hardware failures and engaged manufactures to identify and remediate defects.
  • Generate reports for management to display vendor performance, service availability, change management.
  • Oversee the alert and ticket management tools.
  • Ensure timely action on alerts and resolutions for incident tickets are maintained.
  • Maintain communications with managers and executive management through high severity incident life cycles.
  • Implement and follow ITIL based work flow standards – Incident Management, Change control and Problem Management, Event Notifications, Disaster Recovery, Failover and Root cause analysis.
  • Significant operational experience with IP networking, network hardware), Network Security/Firewall Management, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, etc.), and Wide Area Networks.
  • Oversee and maintain LAN/WAN network, connectivity between all datacenters and financial extranets; contact vendors to establish connectivity; deploy and configure routers, switches, and security firewalls
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network outages, troubleshooting tools such as traffic analyzers
  • Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with vendor network architects on network optimization.
  • Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches, review technical requirements for deployment

  • Experience with routing protocols and Vlans are necessary


  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
  • ITIL Certified a plus
  • Deep technical experience utilizing network latency management solutions.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Nexus platforms required.
  • Proficient in routing protocols: TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, Multicast, IP CEF
  • Advanced performance tuning and capacity management concepts
  • Through understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLAN's, QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts
  • Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation
  • Knowledge of NOC tools such as Solarwinds, Smarts, HP Openview, Sniffers, NetCool, VitalSuite, CiscoWorks, Netscreen, Concord eHealth
