    We currently have a need for a Network Engineer supporting a Global Network Infrastructure Ultra-Low Latency Trading Environment.   The ideal candidate will have five years of relevant work experience in networks.  Global Financial Services experience is required as well as experience with Corvil. 



    • Significant operational experience with IP networking, network hardware), Network Security/Firewall Management, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, etc), and Wide Area Networks.
    • Maintain LAN/WAN network, connectivity between all datacenters and financial extranets; contact vendors to establish connectivity; deploy and configure routers, switches, and security firewalls
    • Troubleshoot and resolve network outages, troubleshooting tools such as traffic analyzers and Corvil
    • Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with vendor network architects on network optimization.
    • Escalation of problems as appropriate to management.
    • Support during and after network cutovers and change to the environment.
    • Montior latecy, bandwith utilization and the general conidtion of the WAN; reporting on problems to the IT, Support and Trading teams on a real-time, 24x7 bais.
    • Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches, review technical requirements for deployment.
    • Experience with routing protocols and Vlans are necessary.
    • Test, install and troubleshoot network configurations.


    • Deep technical experience utilizing network latency management solutions.
    • Knowledge of multicast required.
    • Knowledge of Cisco Nexus platforms required.
    • Knowledge of Arista platforms desired
    • Proficient in routing protocols: TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, Multicast, IP CEF
    • Advanced performance tuning and capacity management concepts
    • Through understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLAN's, QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts
    • Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation
    • Knowledge of NOC tools such as Corvil, Smarts, HP Openview, Sniffers, NetCool, VitalSuite, CiscoWorks, Netscreen, and Concord eHealth
